I predict that within five years we'll see a trend to have nutritional levels of lithium included in our RDA. Whether the big pharmas want to prevent mood disorders or not is part and parcel of the history of lithium in the USA. If you have access to the Time Magazine archives you'll find 1970's articles revealing their reluctance for producing lithium salt pills because of the unprofitability to their bottom line!
