I have worked with custom fields before via the PHPToolkit. They can be a bit of a pain, but here is an example of how you can set a custom value on a customer object:

I have the same problem with Netsuite, I can’t find a decent documentation. I’ve downloaded the PHP Toolkit and I was able to add a Contact but I wanted to create a Custom Record with Custom Fields. I could use a little help on this.
